Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops: Easy 20-Min Meal

  • Author: Julia
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner featuring juicy pork chops coated in a sweet, savory, and garlicky honey-soy glaze. Ready in just 20 minutes with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, center-cut pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • Salt, for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  2. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove from pan and set aside.
  6. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the same skillet; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the honey-soy mixture and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Remove skillet from heat and stir in butter until melted and incorporated.
  9. Return pork chops to the skillet, turning to coat in the glaze.
  10. Spoon sauce over the top, sprinkle with green onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Patting the pork dry is crucial for a good sear. Do not crowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary. Pork is safe to eat at 145°F. The sauce will thicken as it cools, so plate immediately. Leftovers store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
