High-Protein Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

  • Author: Julia
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A thick, creamy, and delicious breakfast smoothie that tastes like strawberry cheesecake but contains 30 grams of protein. It requires no cooking and is ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) plain Greek yogurt (full fat recommended)
  • 2 ounces (56g) full-fat brick-style cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1.5 cups (150g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (almond, oat, or whole milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Optional topping: 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixed with a pinch of sugar and vanilla

Instructions

  1. Prep ingredients: Cube the cream cheese and measure out the yogurt, milk, and frozen strawberries.
  2. Add liquids first: Pour the milk and vanilla extract into the blender. Add honey or maple syrup if using.
  3. Add dairy: Add the cubed cream cheese and Greek yogurt to the blender.
  4. Add fruit: Top with the frozen strawberries.
  5. Blend: Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and thick. Add a splash of milk if too thick.
  6. Taste and adjust: Taste the smoothie. Add more honey if tart, or a squeeze of lemon juice if too sweet.
  7. Serve: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately. Top with optional cream cheese dollop or fresh strawberry slices.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for a thick, milkshake-like consistency; fresh strawberries will make the smoothie watery. Let cream cheese soften for 5 minutes to prevent chunks. This smoothie is best served immediately as it separates over time. For meal prep, freeze the dry ingredients (strawberries and cream cheese) in bags.
