Description
A cozy and festive fall sangria featuring crisp apple cider, caramel vodka, dry white wine, and warm spices, perfect for gatherings and easy to make in five simple steps.
Ingredients
- 4 cups (960 ml) fresh, unsweetened apple cider
- 1 cup (240 ml) caramel vodka (or plain vodka/spiced rum)
- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio recommended)
- 1 large apple, thinly sliced (Honeycrisp or Fuji preferred)
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and thinly slice the apple, leaving the skin on. Place the apple slices and cinnamon sticks into a large pitcher.
- Pour in the apple cider and caramel vodka. Stir gently to combine.
- Add the dry white wine and fresh lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir to mix.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the mixture and stir thoroughly until blended.
- Cover and chill the sangria in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Before serving, add sparkling water if desired, stir gently, and serve over ice.
Notes
Use fresh, unsweetened apple cider for best flavor. If caramel vodka is unavailable, substitute with plain vodka or spiced rum and add extra caramel sauce. Chill sangria for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor. Add sparkling water just before serving for fizz. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning if prepping ahead. Adjust sweetness by adding more caramel sauce or cider as desired.
