Blended Salted Caramel Frappe

  • Author: Julia
  • Total Time: 7 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick and easy homemade blended salted caramel frappe that balances rich caramel, a hint of saltiness, and a smooth icy texture. Perfect for a midday pick-me-up or weekend dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (240ml), cooled
  • 1 cup milk (240ml), whole milk preferred (almond, oat, or coconut milk can be used)
  • 3 tablespoons caramel sauce (45ml), salted preferred
  • 1 cup ice cubes (about 150g)
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (2.5ml), optional
  • Whipped cream, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Brew a strong cup of coffee or a double shot of espresso and let it cool (about 5 minutes).
  2. Pour the cooled coffee, milk, caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into a blender. Add the ice cubes on top.
  3. Blend on low, then increase to high for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is thick, smooth, and frosty.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or saltiness by adding more caramel or a pinch of salt if desired, then blend briefly again.
  5. Pour into a tall glass, top with whipped cream and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce if desired, insert a straw, and enjoy.

Notes

Use strong coffee or espresso for best flavor. Don’t skip the pinch of salt to enhance the salted caramel taste. Blend in short bursts to avoid watering down the frappe. Adjust ice and milk for desired thickness and creaminess. Can be made vegan by using plant-based milk and dairy-free caramel sauce. Best served immediately as ice melts quickly.
